No pity, only sympathies. RIP Saki. Personally, if this really happens with people IRL, I am equally disgusted and scared. Who knows how many girls (or maybe even boys) get stuck in this vicious cycle and the people taking advantage of them (even those near and dear to them)... I take mangas(or anime or movies) like these and thank for whatever fine life I'm having right now, and hope for betterment for others as well.

Fuck, I came here to fap but then this story made me feel really sad, I believe that she lived because a drug cannot animate a child, she wil not have to power to imagine it.

@phantom13 Sadly as much as I wanted her to live, she most likely died from an overdose. The final panels, are probably her last moments of ecstasy, because of the drug.
For those ho say she die, in the last pannel before she appear whit her daugther she still has the glasses in the head, so if she die how the glasses end up in the floor? the last pannel whit the broken glasses are just a representation of what she left behind in order the repair her life. Shindol make a thind of depresing works but sometimes he do a good endingd as well. Saki got a shit life for making bad decitions but in the end she got the chance to get a better life all doing it by herself, just need the right motivation. What its shindol trying to tell us whit this? Maybe you could have a shitlife but some people maybe has a ven worse, you can change that but only if you want it do it
The saki was in my opinion the least bad character, she made mistakes, but never harmed anyone, unlike the hypocritical society under a false moralism chased, mistreated, raped and robbed. It was the true face of evil without remorse.
I believe that saki survived and she was remembering everything that she's been through, their mistakes and failures. This manga to my view comes the full human freedom in doing everything, but also the consequences of our choices. She was a young man who unfortunately didn't know make the best choices and suffered from extreme way, in the end had the chance to repent and change. Nothing prevents in the story that saki was rescued, their attackers arrested, his daughter recovered and your money, when the police showed up, was taken to hospital and received amparo until State could survive with your job when it was bigger. In the end she just repensava the moments in which she lived. A person having an overdose cannot have a mind as clear as what she had, would be steeped in psychedelic dreams, but not in a dream she rethinks the past.
while its hinting she has good life with her child and back to normal the last picture just made me think that it's just her hallucination, now the only thing i can think is she die because overdose T..T
I just came across this series after reading a random comment and I am glad I did. It's rare to read a such a beautiful doujin and not jerk off to it.
What an amazing series, this writer sure does know how to write them. To provoke such hatre and emotion to all his reader must be amazing even if it is fucked up.

There is no open ending. Look closely at the last page. She saying "...dear" to her daughter, but you can see tiled floor and a package with drugs on the left side of the page.
A lot of evidence point towards her overdosing, mainly towards the end. Blood pouring out after her stomach taking a beating; her money for the baby being stolen. To top it off, she said she "had nothing left", which can mean she has nothing left to live for due to losing her baby and the money for it. The last shot before the flashback is her taking one last shot of the drug.
Oh fuck you I could take it all until that final hit in the feels; this was hot as shit for the first 5 chapters
Eh wait, where did she find those glasses ? She was robbed once, so all of her money got taken. The glasses too i think, so where do they come from ? Unless she was just remembering her past self, before being able to have a daughter ... But I doubt it.

Yeah just change subject when u realize that u are proved wrong I see what you did there. Not to mention even if its fiction the story and the experiences mc went through is real enough Furthermore if you are familiar with Shindol's work u would know he is known for bad endings in his works.
No Im not talking about only glasses , I mean the gushing blood coming out of her after she got beaten, the effect of drugs she took so far , her facial expression after she OD'D; they are all pointing at the bad ending. Only a hopeless optimist or a fool would ignore all these evidence and just believe that she gave birth without problems and living in a happy way with her child at the end. Glasses is just a reminder of her past and it ending up on floor next to blood stains is a metaphor for her death. It's all there to see you just need to look harder .
'The evidence is right there', so some glasses on the floor show that she died 100%, you really need to open your eyes and think more, those glasses being on the floor could've been the result of anything.

Look at the way she's sat when she 'died', her glasses wouldn't just fly off her face, they're designed to stay there unless purposefully removed.
How come her glasses wouldn't come off if she OD'd. thats's stupid. It's pretty obvius she died at the end last panel proves that. There seems to be a tank coming up with the whole story and some new scenes added btw.

Like, God, it was so sad. I actually liked it, though, 'cause, despite it being so depressing, the story really caught me. And ShindoL is a fucking genius; he draws magnifically, too. By the way, I'm more for the "allucination" ending, it's more plausible for me... or is it just a poor excuse for being pessimist? Hell if i know.

This story is too real for me. My cousin is a prostitute and she got pregnant from a random guy the same as this story. She contracted diseases as well as heavily using heroin and smoking crack and weed. She is so far gone from reality that she no longer cares about anything even herself. I literally dragged her out the middle of the street one day and tried to explain to her how low she has fallen. Even though she listened, i could see that she was off in her own world and unless i was willing to lock her up by force, she would go back again and again. She is in jail now where she had her child and have been forced off of drugs. She was locked up for prostituting. One of the few times i was so happy to see the police arrest a family member. This story is too real for me so it killed my boner instantly.
That was really hard to read to the end but it was worth it. I prefer to see it as the good ol happy end, otherwise it would just have been pure suffering until the end :(
I dunno if I'd call this open ended, the snuff tag kinda tells you how it went in the end. At least she had one last sweet dream?
Bong, it's a open ending. It could of been just a flash back. Or it could of been the drug induce delusion of a better outcome. That level of trauma and drug use would most likely not result in a healthy child tho.
At least its a good ending. Other artists NTR is cool but shindol's NTR kind of thing is depressing
