@Aikkuma: That's not a defense ... the early colonists who massacred the natives were horrible bastards, as were those who used the Monroe Doctrine as an excuse to conquer western and central America. However, there is still a key difference. The Native Americans were helpless in front of early modern arms but they did attempt to fight back ... they were not pacifists. This guy, on the other hand, is killing people who have no idea what the concept of murder is. It takes a special kind of evil to understand that and still do it (I could excuse his initial actions because he did not know violence did not exist here and was frightened and shocked by a new society and culture). I hope they rebel and kill him ... he's certainly not physically or technologically superior to any of them.
People who says hes nuts etc. Thats what humans do, have done and will do. If you are put in a place of power or in a situation where you can become powerful most people will take that opportunity at the cost of others. That MC is no different to people who colonized others lands, no different to people who show off their wealth
