Fascinating story

Funny thing I have to say is.....How the fuck were they able to still practice their "tradition" in the modern age? (made since in the age before phones became a thing, but in the information age, it's strange no one noticed the "travelers" going missing after making it known they were going to a "specific village" that should have already been under suspicion as "many travelers have disappeared" never to be seen again in that area (hell, how they handle the "remains", I'm surprised an investigator or two haven't come around or found anything)

So these farmers are too cheap to buy fertilizer and use human corpses as an alternative source? That's a bit funny if you ask me, but why use the traps to begin with?
