I first visited Paris in the Autumn of 1998. After work at night, I headed out to pay a visit to The Pont-Neuf, the oldest standing bridge in Paris, which my favorite movie, “The Lovers on the Bridge” (Les Amants du Pont-Neuf), was modeled on. However, the photo shoot didn’t go quite as smoothly as I had thought. With all its photogenic sightseeing areas, Paris hardly ever shows her charm for me to capture it. After a decade of shooting in a vain effort to seek out “my own Paris” instead of someone else’s, I have yet to figure out what it could possibly be. That’s just how Paris is, and I still love it.
